This multi media workshop, originally created by Dr. Louise Montello, shares the power of the arts to address issues affecting communities and to be a source of healing. Through gathering reflections from youth, elders, and members of a community or center, we have dialogue to discover the issues at hand and create to shine awareness of the message at heart. Creating a mural, song, play, dance from sharing stories and giving people a voice, brings people together to heal, grow appreciation of one another, be respectful of other cultures and perspectives, and shine their truth, heart, and strength.
